Step 1: Prepare your lye solution. Allow the lye solution to cool to room temperature.
Step 2: While you are waiting for your lye solution to cool, prepare your soaping oils. Once your oils are melted, allow them cool to room temperature.
Step 3: While you are waiting, prepare your colorants as listed above.
Step 4: When both the soaping oils and the lye solution are at room temperature, combine them. Then, stick blend the soap batter to emulsify. Next, add the NG Volcano Type Fragrance Oil. Once again, stick blend your soap batter to incorporate the scent.
Step 5: Separate your soap batter. Into two bowls, add 5 ounces of the soap batter to each. Into the two other bowls, add 10.5 oz of the soap batter.
Step 6: Color the soap batter. Begin with the bowls containing five ounces of soap batter. To one bowl add the yellow colorant and to the second bowl, add the orange colorant. Stick blend the contents of each bowl. To one of the larger bowls, add the red colorant. Stick blend. Then, add the black colorant to the last bowl. Stick blend.
Step 7: Place your mold on the turntable in front of you. Then, you are ready to pour. Begin with the black and red batter. You will pour a small amount of one color in the upper left corner and a small amount of the other color in the lower right corner simultaneously. To the same corners, pour a small amount of the orange and yellow soap batter in the same manner.
Step 8: Now, switch corners and repeat the process. However, this time, begin with the orange and yellow. Then, switch to the red and black. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you have used all of your soap batter.
Step 9: Turn the turntable to create swirls until you are happy with the swirls that you have created. Then, clean the edges of your mold.
Step 10: Allow your soap to set up for 24-48 hours before removing it from the mold. Cut your soap. Once your soap has cured, it will be ready to use.
