Description

Vanda Orchid Fragrance Oil

In this fragrance oil by Natures Garden, wild berries and blooming flowers combine to create romance with this fruity floral creation. Sparkling citrus tones lead to a wild blueberry accord as the scent unfolds. A bouquet of delicate white Vanda orchids is laced with fresh green accents to balance the fruit accord. Generous musky undertones and rich warm woods add clear sweet softness to complete the luxurious fragrance. An NG Original Scent!

A White Floral

MilwaukeeTim from Milwaukee, WI
Vanda Orchid is a pleasant white floral. Period. I've made soy candles with this fragrance, using a soy modifier and a 12% fragrance load and eco wicks. The scent reminds me of something in the gardenia/tuberose/jasmine family, only not as obnoxious. It is a pleasant scent, but again, just a white floral and nothing more.

I have no idea where this notion of blueberry notes is coming from. I know it's in the description and I'd have to say that it's marketing at its best. No one I surveyed could detect anything berrylike in this fragrance, blueberry or otherwise.

I wouldn't discourage someone from buying it, but it was not interesting enough for me to want more of it. 4 Stars.

Pretty

This is a sweet floral scent (think within the same family as NG's Pikaki or Plumeria). It does accelerate and rice in CP soap despite the notes stating it doesn't. Soap it cool, don't water discount and you should be fine. It's generic enough smelling that I probably won't be back for it. Not a bad scent but just not enough to WOW me for the trouble it gave with a 5% water discount.
