Clean and sanitize your workstation and all of your utensils. It is suggested that you wear gloves, an apron, a face mask, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.
Step 1: Begin by preparing the dry ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, add your baking soda, sodium cocoyl isethionate, cream of tartar, and cornstarch. Mix well. As you are mixing, use your hands to break up any clumps. Optionally, you can use a sifter to remove clumps when adding ingredients.
Step 2: In a second bowl, weigh out and mix the wet ingredients. Blend the vegetable glycerin, pumpkin seed oil, and Salted Caramel Frappe Fragrance Oil.
Step 3: Next, add your wet ingredients to the bowl containing the dry ingredients. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together. Keep mixing until you have a dough-like consistency.
Note: If your dough is too crumbly, you can add a bit more vegetable glycerin. However, be careful not to add too much or your dough will become too wet and will not set up properly.
Step 4: At this time, you will need to divide the bubble bar dough in half. To each bowl, add 700 grams of the bubble bar dough.
Step 5: In the first bowl, mix the dough well and form it into a ball. Set this bowl aside, the dough will remain white.
Step 6: To the second bowl, add 10 drops orange oxide FUN Soap Colorant, 10 drops yellow oxide FUN Soap Colorant, and 3 drops brown oxide FUN Soap Colorant to the 700 grams of the bubble bar dough. Mix until the colorant is well blended and form into a ball.
Step 7: Now, place the caramel colored ball of dough into the bowl with the white ball of dough. Press the two balls of dough together side by side.
Step 8: Take a cookie scoop or ice cream scoop and scoop up some of each color. Overfill the scoop slightly and press it down on parchment paper or a silicone mat and release it from the scoop. Continue this process until you have used all the bubble bar dough.
Step 9: Now, simply let your bubble scoops set up, completely hardening. It took our bubble bars approximately 48-72 hours to set up completely. However, it can take longer depending on the climate of your environment.
Your Salted Caramel Bubble Bar Scoops are now ready to use! To use your bubble bars crumble one of the bubble scoops under running warm bath water.
