Other Ingredients & Equipment You'll Need:
Glad Press’n Seal plastic wrap
9x13 Cake Pan
Total Recipe Weight for Brown Colored Soap:
300 grams Soya Milk Melt and Pour Soap
15 grams Cracklin Birch Fragrance Oil
7 grams Brown Oxide FUN Soap Colorant
4 grams Black Oxide FUN Soap Colorant
30 grams Vegetable Glycerin
Total Recipe Weight for Cream Colored Portion:
1162 grams Soya Milk Melt and Pour Soap
4 drops Yellow Oxide FUN Soap Colorant
58 grams Cracklin Birch Fragrance Oil
58 grams Vanilla White Stabilizer
Step 1: First, prepare your cake pan for your soap. Tear off some Glad Press’n Seal Plastic wrap and line half of your cake pan. Fold the plastic wrap to make it look like what the bark of a tree would look like.
Step 2: Now, we will prepare the brown portion of your soap. Use the amounts above to prepare this portion. Melt your soya milk soap until it is in a fluid state.
Step 3: Then, add the Cracklin Birch Fragrance Oil, both the brown and black oxide colorants, and vegetable glycerin. Stir the soap to incorporate the ingredients.
Step 4: Pour the soap into the prepared pan and spray it with rubbing alcohol to release any air bubbles. Allow soap to spread evenly, and don’t allow it to go past ½ the width of the pan. Allow it to setup.
Step 5: Then, remove it from the pan. Once it is removed, use it to line the round loaf mold. You may need to trim the soap to fit into the mold. You want to make sure it fits tightly into the mold so that the cream colored soap does not seep underneath the brown portion.
Step 6: Once you have the brown portion in place, use a microwave safe dish to melt the remaining 1162 soya milk melt and pour soap.
Step 7: Once melted, add 4 drops of the yellow oxide soap colorant. Also, add 58 grams Cracklin Birch Fragrance Oil, and 58 grams of Vanilla White Stabilizer and stir.
Step 8: Spray your brown layer with rubbing alcohol and then pour the cream colored soap directly on top of the brown soap. Spray the cream colored soap with rubbing alcohol to release any air bubbles. Allow the soap loaf to setup.
Step 9: Remove the soap from the mold and use the mitre box to slice your soap.
Your Rustic Tree Trunk Soap is now ready to use! Enjoy!
