Prepare your work area. Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.
Step 1: When melting your oils, you will need to use the double boiler method. Weigh out Coconut 76 Oil, Sunflower Oil, Cocoa Butter Golden Natural, Shea Butter, Silky Emulsifying Wax, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil, and White Beeswax.
Step 2: While you are waiting for your oils and butters to melt, weigh out your 4 grams of Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend Powder and 15 grams of vegetable glycerin. In one of your mixing bowls, combine the pumpkin powder and vegetable glycerin, blend them until you get a paste. Set aside for now.
Step 3: Next, weigh out your 4 grams of Orange Peel Powder and 15 grams of vegetable glycerin. In one of your mixing bowls, combine the Orange Peel Powder and vegetable glycerin, blend them until you get a paste. Set aside for now.
Step 4: Once your oils and butters have melted, remove from the heat. Allow the temperature to drop down to 120F. Now add optiphen preservative, vitamin E oil, arrowroot powder, and Pumpkin Walnut Biscotti Fragrance Oil. Stir.
Step 5: Once this is blended, add the granulated sugar. Mix thoroughly to incorporate the sugar.
Step 6: Now, divide the mixture equally into three separate bowls. You will want to place about 394 grams of the product in each bowl.
Step 7: To one bowl, add your orange peel powder mixture and 2 drops of FUN Soap Colorant Neon Orange. Mix to fully incorporate the ingredients.
Step 8: To the second bowl, add the pumpkin powder mixture. Stir to fully blend.
Step 9: To the third bowl, add 2 grams of Titanium Dioxide Oil Dispersal. Stir.
Step 10: Once the mixtures have reached room temperature, and you do not see any oil sitting on top you are ready to begin adding the scrub to the jars.
Step 11: We began with the brown layer. However, you can begin with the color of your choosing. Fill each of your seven jars about 1/3 full with your first layer. Then, move to your second layer, adding the same amount to each jar. Lastly, finish filling the jar with the third layer.
Step 12: When you finish filling the jars, place the dome lids on the jars.
Your Pumpkin Sugar Scrub is now ready to use! Enjoy!
