Step 1: First, we will create the embeds for the top of the candle. So, weigh out 2 oz. of Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax. Then, using a double boiler, melt the candle wax.
Step 2: When the Pillar of Bliss Wax has melted, you will need to add a small amount of the pink color block. You can add a small shaving to achieve a very light pink or a few shavings to make it a darker pink. We used less than a gram of colorant for each of the two shades we created. Once you have added your color, stir.
Step 3: Next, add 0.2 ounces of the Ode de Rose Fragrance Oil. Once again, stir to blend the fragrance oil.
Step 4: Now, pour the melted candle wax into 6 cavities of the silicone rose mold. Allow these to setup before removing them from the mold. Set these aside, for now, we will use them in a later step. Note: you will be creating a couple of extra embeds. These can be used in wax burners.
Step 5: While your embeds are setting up, you can prepare your tins. Place 4 tins in your work area. Place a 51-32-18z wick in each of the tins.
Step 6: Prepare the Joy Wax. Weight out 16 ounces of the Joy Wax. Melt the wax using the double boiler method. The Joy wax will remain uncolored.
Step 7: Once the wax has melted, add 1.6 ounces of the Ode de Rose Fragrance Oil. Stir.
Step 8: Pour the candle wax into the 8 ounce tins. Fill each tin about ¾ of the way full. This will leave room for the embed that will top the candle. Allow the wax to setup.
Step 9: At this time, you will need the rose embeds that you prepared. Using a skewer, place a hole in the center of the rose. Work slowly turning the skewer as you make the hole. The hole needs to be large enough for the wick to thread through.
Step 10: Finally, thread the wick through the hole you created. Then, trim the wick to ¼”.
Your Ode de Rose Candles are now ready. Enjoy!
