Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, an apron, gloves, a face mask, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.
Step 1: First, weigh out your dry ingredients. In a mixing bowl add 272 grams (1 cup) of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, 230 grams (1 cup) Baking Soda, 112 grams (1/3 cup) Cream of Tartar, and 36 grams (1/3 cup) Corn Starch. Mix well, using your hands to break up any clumps.
Step 2: Next, weigh out and mix your wet ingredients. In a mixing bowl, blend 100 grams (1/3 cup) vegetable glycerin, 12 grams (1 tablespoons) of avocado oil, and 7 grams Mango and Mandarins Fragrance Oil.
Step 3: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Then, use your hands to mix them together. Mix until you have a dough consistency. Note: If your dough is too crumbly, you can add a bit more vegetable glycerin. However, be careful not to add too much or your dough will become too wet.
Step 4: Now, divide your dough in half, you will need about 330 grams of dough for each color. One half will be colored yellow, the other half will be a mango color. To one half add 3 grams of Jailhouse Red FUN Soap Colorant and use your hands to mix the color into the dough. Then, with clean gloves, add three grams of Yelp Yellow FUN Soap Colorant and mix the colorant in with your hands.
Step 5: Next we will roll out our dough. You can do this on either a piece of parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Prior to starting however, you should lightly sprinkle the mat with baking soda so that it does not stick when you roll it out. Do the same to your rolling pin.
Step 6: We will begin with the mango colored dough. Gently, flatten the dough with your hands. Then, begin rolling out your dough into a rectangular shape.
Step 7: Place the yellow dough directly on top of the mango colored dough. Then, roll that one out too. You want it to be the same shape and size of the mango colored dough underneath. While it will not be exact, get it as close as you can.
Step 8: Finally, we will roll the dough into a log. Sort, of like rolling a pumpkin roll. Begin with the side closest to you. Lift up your parchment paper and fold a bit of the dough in. Then, peel back the parchment paper and roll a little more. Continue this process until you have completed your roll.
Step 9: Slice your bubble bars. Then, allow them to harden. This can take a few days.
Your Mandarin and Mango Bubble Bars are now ready to use! Enjoy!
