Galaxy Bubble Bar Recipe

Note: While we give you both weight and volume measurements, we highly recommend using a scale as the measurements will be more precise amounts.
410 grams (2 cups) Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
460 grams (2 cups) Sodium Bicarbonate- Baking Soda
224 grams (2/3 cup) Cream of Tartar
72 grams (2/3 cup) Corn Starch
200 grams (2/3 cup) Vegetable Glycerin
24 grams (2 TBSP) Safflower Oil
14 grams Grape Happy Camper Candy Fragrance Oil
5 grams FUN Soap Colorant Neon Pink
5 grams FUN Soap Colorant Neon Blue
5 grams FUN Soap Colorant Ultramarine Violet
2 grams Diamond Dust Mica Pigment
Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear gloves, an apron, gloves, a face mask, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.
Step 1: First, we will prepare our dry ingredients. In a mixing bowl add your baking soda, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, cream of tartar, and corn starch. Mix well, using your hands to break up any clumps.
Step 2: Next, in a separate bowl, weigh out and mix your wet ingredients. In a mixing bowl, blend the following vegetable glycerin, safflower oil, and Grape Happy Camper Fragrance Oil.
Step 3: Now, add your wet ingredients to the bowl containing the dry ingredients. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together. Continue to mix until you have a dough consistency. Note: If your dough is too crumbly, you can add a bit more vegetable glycerin. However, be careful not to add too much or your dough will become too wet.
Step 4: Begin separating your dough. You will need three smaller bowls. Separate the dough into three equal portions. Place 1/3 of your dough into each bowl. Set your large bowl aside. You will need it again in a later step.
Step 5: Each of the three bowls you prepared will be a different color. To the first bowl, add 5 grams of neon pink colorant. To the second bowl, add 5 grams of neon blue soap colorant. Lastly, add 5 grams of the violet soap colorant. Then, using your gloved hands, mix the colorant into each of the bowls of dough. Once you have mixed each portion, roll them into a ball and place them back in the bowl. Note: You may need to change your gloves as you mix each color.
Step 6: You will need the large bowl you used earlier. Place the three balls of dough into your large bowl. You want them to sit next to each other, not directly on top of each other. Then, press down to flatten each ball completely. They can overlap slightly as you press.
Step 7: Now scoop the dough using your small stainless steel scooper. Make sure you get a little bit of each color in the ice cream scoop. Place each scoop on a silicone mat or parchment paper.
Step 8: Finally, sprinkle the bubble bars with Nature’s Garden Diamond Dust mica. We used about 2 grams, but you can use as much or as little as you would like.
Step 9: Allow the bubble bars to harden completely before using. It may take a few days for them to completely setup.
Your Galaxy Bubble Bars are now ready to use! To use your bubble bars simply crumble a couple of scoops under your running bath water.
