Other Ingredients & Equipment You'll Need:
Pot (for double boiler)
Step 1: Prepare the Easter egg embeds: Use a double boiler to melt 30 grams of Pillar of Bliss Candle Wax. Once melted use a toothpick to add a tiny bit of red Spectrum Liquid Candle Dye. Mix to incorporate the color.
Step 2: Next, add 3 grams of Carrot Cake Fragrance Oil. Again, mix to blend the scent. Then, pour the wax into the Easter egg embed mold. Allow them to setup. Remove them from the molds. Set them aside for now. You will need them to top your candle.
Step 3: Repeat steps one and two three more times. Use blue in one batch, yellow in the next, and finally purple in the last batch. Note: You will have extra Easter eggs. Each batch will create 20 Easter eggs. However, the extra eggs can be packaged and used for wax melts if you would like.
Step 4: Prepare the Easter Basket Grass: Weigh out and melt 200 grams of Joy Wax. Add five drops of green Spectrum Liquid Candle Dye. Mix to blend the candle colorant.
Step 5: Then, add 20 grams of Carrot Cake Fragrance Oil. Mix well to blend the ingredients. Then, pour the wax into your paper bowl. Allow the wax to setup.
Step 6: Once the wax has setup, remove it from the bowl. Then, shred the wax over a medium sized bowl. Set the grass aside for now. You will need in a later step.
Step 7: Prepare Your Layers: First, adhere two CD-10 wicks to the bottom of each jar. In this recipe, each pastel colored layer will have 100 grams of Joy Wax per candle. Each white layer will require 25 grams of Joy Wax per candle.
Step 8: We will begin with our blue layers. Weigh out and melt 200 grams of Joy Wax. Then use a toothpick to add a tiny bit of blue liquid dye. Mix well. Then, add 20 grams a fragrance oil. Mix to blend the color. Then pour 100 grams of the blue wax into each jar. Allow this layer to fully setup before moving to the next step.
Step 9: Now, prepare your first white layer. Weigh out and melt 50 grams of Joy Wax. Then, add 5 grams of fragrance oil and mix. Pour 25 grams of white wax into each jar. This will be poured right on top of the blue wax. Allow this layer to setup. Note: When pouring layers I suggest pouring the wax slowly into the center of the jar.
Step 10: Next, repeat steps 8 using the purple candle dye. Then, a white layer using the same amount you used in step 9. Next, a yellow layer using the same process. Then, another white layer. Finally add a pink layer on top using a red spectrum candle dye.
Step 11: Adding the Grass and Easter Eggs: First, add the grass you prepared in step four. Then, top the grass with the Easter egg embeds. We used a few in each color. However, you can use them whichever colors you would like.
Your Easter Basket Candle is now ready to use! Enjoy!
