Step 1: Prepare your lye solution. Allow the lye solution to cool to room temperature.
Step 2: While you are waiting for your lye solution to cool, prepare your soaping oils. Once your oils are melted, allow them cool to room temperature.
Step 3: While you are waiting for your oils and lye solution to cool, prepare the colorants.
Step 4: Prepare the colorants listed above.
Step 5: When both the soaping oils and the lye solution are at room temperature, combine them. Then, stick blend the soap batter to emulsify. Next, add the Cranberry Balsam Fragrance Oil. Once again, stick blend your soap batter to incorporate the scent.
Step 6: Divide the soap batter into three equal portions. Add one of the colorants to each bowl. Stick blend the contents of each bowl.
Step 7: Place the mold in front of you. When your soap is at a thick trace, pour the green soap batter into the mold. Hold back about 2 ounces for the top of the soap.
Step 8: Next, pour the white soap batter directly on top of the green batter. Once again, hold back about 2 ounces of the soap batter to top the soap.
Step 9: Finally, pour the red soap batter on top of the white batter. Hold back about 2 ounces. Then, use your hanger tool to create swirls between each layer.
Step 10: Place the mold in front of you horizontally. Start with the green soap batter. Place a horizontal line across the loaf that is about 1 inch thick. Then, place a white horizontal line next to the green line. Then, place a red line next to the white. Use a wooden skewer to create swirls on the top of the loaf. Start at the left side of the mold. Place the skewer just on the surface of the soap. Create figure eight patterns across the loaf until you reach the left side of the mold.
Step 11: Allow the soap to set up. After 48 hours, remove the soap from the mold. When ready, cut the soap into slices. Allow the soap to cure before using.
