Step 1: Using a double boiler, melt the coconut oil and emulsifying wax.
Step 2: While you are waiting, weigh out the sugar in a deep mixing bowl.
Step 3: Now, pour the melted coconut oil and emulsifying wax into the bowl containing the sugar. Stir well.
Step 4: When the temperature has dropped to about 140F, add the Candy Cane Fragrance Oil, Optiphen preservative, and Vanilla White Color Stabilizer. Use a hand mixer to whip the sugar scrub.
Step 5: Separate the scrub equally into two mixing bowls. To one of the bowls, add four drops of tomato red colorant. Use the hand mixer to blend the colorant with the scrub.
Step 6: Allow the scrub to come to room temperature. Whip it using the hand mixer again. Then, layer the scrub in the jars. You can layer them in the order of your choosing. We created a total of four layers in each jar. We piped our sugar scrub in the jar for uniformity of layers.
Step 7: Once you have filled all of the jars, your scrub is ready to use! Enjoy!
