Clean & Sanitize your
work area and all of your packaging materials. It is suggested that you wear
gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while preparing this recipe.
Step 1: Prepare the Base: In your
microwave safe glass container, weigh out and melt 287 grams of Goat's Milk
Melt and Pour Soap Base in the microwave 30 seconds at a time. Stir gently.
Keep melting until all soap is in a liquid state.
Step 2: Add 1 drop FUN Yellow Oxide soap
colorant to melted soap. Mix well. Add 17 grams of Honeycomb Fragrance Oil; stir well.
Step
3: Lay your Basic
Rectangle Mold on a flat surface and fill all (3) cavities 2/3 of the way
full. Allow this to set up at room
temperature.
Step
4: Spray Down:
Using your alcohol in a
spray bottle, generously spritz the top of the bars with alcohol. This will allow the next layer of soap to
adhere to the bars.
Step
5: Prepare
the Honeycomb: In your microwave safe glass container, weigh out and
melt 144 grams of Goat's Milk Melt and Pour
Soap Base in the microwave 30
seconds at a time. Stir gently. Keep melting until all soap is in a liquid
state.
Step 6: Add 3 drops
FUN Yellow Oxide soap
colorant to melted soap. Mix well. Add 8 grams
of Honeycomb fragrance oil; stir
well.
Step
7: Carefully pour the soap into your rectangle molds to completely
fill them.
Step 8: Next, take your
bubble wrap and measure your cut. You
want to make sure you include 1 extra line of full bubbles to ensure the
honeycomb pattern throughout the whole top of your soap.
Step
9: Then, after cutting,
simply lay the cut and fit
bubble wrap (bubble side down) on top of the soap opening. Carefully and
lightly, ensure that the bubble wrap is lying flat across your mold
opening. Caution:
Do not push down too hard, you do not want any liquid soap above the bubble
wrap.
Step 10: Allow your soap
to fully set up at room temperature.
Then, gently pull the bubble wrap from the soap.
Step
11: Place the mold upside down. Using your thumbs, apply gentle
pressure to the bar
cavities. When the soap releases, your
Honeycomb Soap is now ready to
use. Enjoy!
