Clean & Sanitize your work area and all of your packaging materials. It is
suggested that you wear gloves, protective clothing, and a hair net while
preparing this recipe.
Step 1: Using a scale, weigh out your whipped soap base and place into a bowl. Set
aside.
Step 2: In a separate bowl, weigh out your sugar. Then, add 46 grams
of fragrance oil and 2 drops Fun Soap Colorant Tomato Red. Using your
spatula, fold the fragrance oil and soap colorant into the sugar until all of
the fragrance oil and colorant has been incorporated into the sugar. Set
aside.
Step 3: Next,
using your hand held mixer, start to whip the whipped soap base. You
will notice the batter will start to appear like whipped frosting; when
you have reached this point, turn off the mixer and add the sugar mixture to
the whipped soap base.
Step 4: Once again with the spatula, begin to fold the sugar
into the whipped soap base. You want to thoroughly mix this to
incorporate it well.
Step 5: Then, turn the mixer on and whip again. Using your
spatula, clean the sides of the bowl to ensure all of the mixture has colorant
showing in it. Continue to mix.
Step 6: When the mixture again looks like whipped frosting stop
beating. Set the bowl aside and allow it to set up for at least 5
minutes.
Step 7: Finally, using a spoon scoop the foaming bath scrub into your 4
oz clear PET jars and lid.
Your foaming sugar scrub is now ready to use! Enjoy!
