Total
Recipe Weights:
440 grams of
Distilled Water
43 grams of Flax Seed Whole
3 grams of Epsom Salt
13 grams of NG Biolage Matrix Type
Fragrance Oil
3 grams of Optiphen
Step
1: Using your scale, weigh out the distilled water and flax seed. Place both of these ingredients into a glass bowl. Then, using your mixing spoon, stir. Finally, cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator
overnight.
Step
2: The next day, use a spatula to scrap all of the
water and flax seed into a pot. To this
add 3 grams of Epsom Salt. Then, place the pot on the stove top and set the heat setting to
high. Stir the mixture generously as
it heats.
Step
3: When the mixture reaches a consistent boil, reduce the heat setting to medium. Keep stirring.
Step
4: Allow the mixture to cook for 5 minutes. When you notice the flax seed stays suspended
in the gel, remove the pot from the heat source. Turn off your stove.
Step
5: Next, place your pantyhose over the container
opening. Carefully pour the mixture into
the hosiery. Once the mixture is all there, rinse the pot out.
Step
6: Caution the mixture is hot! Now, apply pressure to the pantyhose to strain out as much
gel as possible. When finished, remove the
pantyhose containing the flax seeds.
Step
7: Monitor the temperature of the gel with your
thermometer. Once the temperature of the gel reaches 120 degrees
Fahrenheit, add 3 grams of Optiphen and 13 grams of NG Biolage Matrix Type Fragrance Oil. Slowly and carefully,
use your whisk to
incorporate the fragrance oil and Optiphen into the gel.
Step
8: When the gel has cooled, place your funnel into your bottle, and fill. Then,
apply the
pump.
Your Curl Pop hair
gel is now ready to use. Enjoy!
