Step 1: Prepare your embed. Weigh out 3 ounces of white beeswax. Melt the wax using a double boiler. Once melted add 0.3 ounces of the blackberry fragrance oil along with 3 drops of the purple candle dye and 2 drops of the black dye. Stir. Pour the wax into the berries mold. Allow the berries to setup before removing them from the mold.
Step 2: Add 10 ounces of the gel wax to a pouring pot. Melt the gel wax over low to medium heat until it is a syrup consistency. Do not allow the gel wax to get hotter than 230 degrees F.
Step 3: Next, add the colorant. Add one drop of black liquid dye and 4 drops of purple liquid dye. Stir to completely blend the colors.
Step 4: Add the fragrance oil. Add 0.6 ounces of the blackberry fragrance oil to the gel wax and stir.
Step 5: Prepare your jar. Place a zinc core wick to the bottom of your jar using hot glue to adhere it.
Step 6: Pour gel wax into the jar. Drop the blackberries into the wax. Keep a few of the berries to place on top.
Step 7: Make sure your wicks are centered and keep them in place as the wax cools.
Step 8: Allow gel wax to almost completely cool before placing the remaining berries.
Step 9: Trim the wicks back to ¼”. Now you can burn your candles!
