Prior to preparing this soap-making recipe, clean and sanitize your work area and equipment. We also recommend putting on protective clothing, like a soap making apron and gloves, along with a hair net when making this recipe. In addition, fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol and place a sprayer on top.
Step 1: First, we will create our blackberry embeds. You will need the raspberries and blackberries mold from flexiblemolds.com. Then, use your scale to weigh out 75 grams of SLS Free Melt and Pour Soap.
Step 2: Once you have weighed the soap out, melt it in your microwave. You want to melt the clear soap base in 30 second intervals until it is completely fluid.
Step 3: Next, remove the melted soap from the microwave and add your fragrance oil and soap colorant. You will need to add 2 grams of Natures Garden Blackberry Jam Fragrance Oil along with 1 drop of black soap colorant and 4 drops of the purple soap colorant. Mix to incorporate the ingredients fully.
Step 4: Finally, pour the melted soap into 10 cavities of the blackberries mold. Spray the soap with rubbing alcohol to release any air bubbles. Allow the blackberries to setup before removing them from the mold.
Step 5: Now, prepare your cupcake bases. Again, you will need the SLS Free Clear Soap Base. You will also need the cupcake mold market mold. In a small microwave safe bowl, weigh out and melt 200 grams of your clear soap base. Remember, heat the soap in 30 second intervals so you do not overheat the clear soap base.
Step 6: Then, once melted, add 6 grams of your Blackberry Jam Fragrance Oil and mix fully. Next, add 15 drops of your violet soap colorant and 2 drops of your black soap dye. Lastly, mix completely to incorporate the colorants.
Step 7: Pour the melted soap base into three cavities of the cupcake molds. Finally, spray the purple soap with rubbing alcohol to release air bubbles that may have formed before allowing them to setup.
Step 8: Prepare the topping for the cupcakes. First, we will prepare the whipped soap base. In a medium sized mixing bowl weigh out 215 grams of whipped soap base. Use a hand mixer to whip the soap to a fluffy consistency. Set this aside for a moment we will come back to it.
Step 9: In a separate bowl weigh out 215 grams of goat milk melt and pour soap. Melt the soap in a microwave in 30-second intervals. Once melted add 21 grams of vegetable glycerin and 14 grams of Blackberry Jam Fragrance Oil. Use a rubber spatula to mix the ingredients together.
Step 10: Now, add the melted soap to whipped soap base. Again, using your hand mixer, to combine the ingredients until you have a fluffy whipped frosting consistency.
Step 11: Quickly, scoop some of the soap frosting onto the base of each cupcake. Place the blackberries on the top center of each cupcake. This recipe will make 10 blackberries. You can place up to five on each cupcake.
Step 12: Finally, prepare the light purple drizzle. First, you will want to lay down wax paper. This will help keep your area clean and protected. Then, remove your cupcakes from the molds and place them on the wax paper. Melt 50 grams of Goat’s Milk Melt and Pour Soap in the microwave. Once melted, add 1 gram of Blackberry Jam Fragrance Oil and 10 drops of Ultramarine Violet FUN Soap Colorant and mix well. Lastly, use a spoon to drizzle the melted soap over the top of each cupcake. Allow this to setup.
Your Blackberry Soap Cupcakes are ready to use! Enjoy!
