10 oz. Jar
Step 1: Prepare your jar. You will need a ten ounce jar. The fishnet wrapped jar is an optional cosmetic look. If you would like to create the fishnet look on the outside of your candle jar you can follow the tutorial here:
Step 2: Use a hot glue gun to adhere a wick to the bottom center of the jar. The wick size will depend on the diameter of the jar. Our jar was about 2 inches in diameter. We used HTP-52.
Step 3: Weigh out 300 grams of the 464 soy wax and melt using a double boiler. Allow it to heat to 185F.
Step 4: Once your wax is melted, add 20 drops of the turquoise liquid candle dye. Stir.
Step 5: Next, while the temperature is at 185F, add 30 grams of Aruba Shores Fragrance Oil. Stir thoroughly.
Step 6: Allow the temperature to drop to 110F. Pour the candle wax into your jar.
Step 7: Allow the candle to set up before trimming the wick to ¼”.
Step 8: Add a warning label to the bottom of your candle jar. Allow the candle to cure.
We hope you enjoy your Aruba Shores Candle!
