Did You Know?  Applejack is a very strong alcoholic beverage. This beverage originated in the American colonial era, which is believed to have roots from the French Apple Brandy Calvados.  Obviously, the beverage is made from apples, but first the apples must be transformed into hard cider.  Then, that hard cider must be concentrated.  This is done in two possible ways.  There is the classic procedure of freeze distillation, or the option of true evaporative distillation.  Either selection works.  The actual word applejack comes from the word jacking which is one term for freeze distillation.

When I ordered this I didn't look at the usage rate for some reason, then when I went back before using I was worried about the only 1% usage for soap! BUT it amazingly does stick and have a strong enough scent in CP! I made my soap with this awhile ago and have been bad about keeping fragrance performance notes (oopsss) but i'm quite sure this didn't go crazy for me, just accelerated a bit if anything (I do soap at room temp too though)

Great fragrance, but accelerated CP soap

I love this fragrance in CP soap! The first time I used it, the batter seized quickly. I was barely able to get it into the mold in time, and there was no time to color the batch. The second time I used it, I was more careful about soaping temps (both oil & lye were around 90F). I was prepared for quick trace and was able to color the soap and get it into the mold...barely. This is such a nice fragrance - slightly apple with a hint of whiskey and cloves. I will buy it again. I just won't use it when I need slow trace.
